Berry Cherry Crumble

by feastonthecheap on July 28, 2011

Mariel here. Our friend Chelsea over at Sprinkles of Parsley is taking a much needed late-July vacay – and I’m desperately jealous. While she’s surfing and turfing, she asked that we pinch hit by lending a summery dish to share with her readers. I decided to pass along my recipe for a Berry Cherry Crumble, which, in addition to being ridiculously easy and deliciously satisfying, makes terrific use of a mid-summer bumper crop of berries. If you have even the slightest sweet tooth, head on over and check it out.

That looks really good. I’m heading over for the recipe right now so I can figure out what the green flecks are.

Mint…I LOVE mint. I listed it as optional but for me it’s always necessary….

“Bumper crop.” Funny how we all use that phrase, but no one ever says that anything else is particularly “bumper.”

“I went to Whole Foods for groceries and was shocked at the bumper bill!”

Lovely dessert.

Cheers!

Ha, I know! Perhaps it should be “bumping crop,” as in, “that party was bumping.” Like all the young folks say

Crumbles are so easy and good, I think they are even better with ice cream on it ;)

I LOVE fruit crumbles at this time of year – made with juicy, ripe fruit. So delicious! The addition of mint is fabulous.
