Mariel here. You heard right, today is the most sacred of culinary celebrations: No, the James Beard Foundation isn’t announcing nominees, the Michelin Guide hasn’t doled out any accolades, and for the time being, Rachael Ray hasn’t tweeted anymore aggravating abbreviations. No, today is in fact National Soup Swap Day – a day we hold near and dear to our hearts, or at least we will now that we’ve heard of it. In honor of this highest of holidays, we’ve compiled a few of our favorite soups and stews from both the Feast on the Cheap archives as well as the Worldwide Wide. Happy slurping!
