Holiday Wish List FOTC

(one) // (two) // (three) // (four) // (five) // (six) // (seven) // (eight) // (nine) // (ten)

Apparently chaos is my new Christmas tradition. Last year, I was due with Baby Ice on December 28th – though he granted my holiday wish and waited until after the New Year to arrive. This year, I’ve decided to up the ante and bookend the holidays with a move and the launch of a new business…you know, just to keep things interesting.

Although we aren’t moving very far distance-wise, the last time we needed moving trucks we had no kids, 2 dogs and little in the way of furniture thanks to 10 years of city living. This time around, we’ve got 2 kids, 2 dogs and about 8 rooms worth of stuff. It…feels…daunting.

On top of that, a dear friend and I are in the process of launching a new room-by-room interior design business (more to come on that later). Although the proverbial paint isn’t yet dry, we’ve taken on a handful of (brave) clients and are already spearheading room renovations for several of them…in tandem with the renovation of my new house. It’s all fun and exciting but it’s made a busy time of year even busier.

This year, when the fam asked for a Christmas wishlist, two thoughts scrambled across my brain: 1) there’s no time to write wishlists! 2) perfect! there’s a ton of stuff I’ve been eyeballing for the new abode!

Lo and behold, I found 20 minutes to sit still and jot down a few ideas…in the name of holiday spirit, of course. My list spans the gamut from everyday essentials (proper coffee mugs!) and luxe touches (super special Italian linens from Frette, per favore!) to frilly fittings and curious knickknacks. Plus a thing or two just pour moi.

If you have a friend, family member or frenemy who is equally obsessed with interior trimmings, you may just make someone’s holiday wish come true.
