Mariel here. Until two years ago, I could not have cared less about football…snooore. That all changed, however, when a close friend from college kick-started a girls-only fantasy football league. Fueled by a dual-pronged thirst for victory and the $500 prize, I got into it, really into it. To be fair though, I’m sort of a scarily gung-ho competitor, so she could have enrolled me in Fantasy Donkey Riding and I probably would’ve been just as engrossed.
While last year was my first foray into the great wide world of fantasy football, this year, I came to understand and appreciate the sport itself. In fact, I even have a favorite team thanks to the ninja-like finesse of Drew Brees and his squad of super Saints – sorry Giants, but you stunk. Anyway, I’m looking forward to this Sunday’s festivities and even though my regular fantasy season has long since ended, sigh, I’ll be glued to the couch, double-fisting chicken wings and scaring my dogs. Happy Superbowl Sunday.

Could you please translate your blog into Italian because I’m not very comfortable reading it in English? I’m getting tired of using Google Translate all the time, there is a little WordPress plugin called like global translator which will render all your pages automatically- this would make reading articleson your great blog even more enjoyable. Cheers mate, Sadie Nooman!
Hi Sadie- I spoke to the webmaster and while wordpress doesn’t offer a translation widget that we can plug into the site directly, he suggested trying “Google Chrome” which will auto-detect that a page is in a different language than the user’s default and offer to translate it for them. Hope this helps and thanks for stopping by!
